This is a Sample Itinerary for our Sri Lanka -  Maldives Multi-Centre Holidays. For demonstration purposes based on 14 days with arrival/departure Colombo, Sri Lanka. However, all our Sri Lanka Tour Combinations can (and will be) customised according to your requirements and taste.
If more convenient, the Maldives Extension can be at the beginning of your holiday and, of course, the number of total days adjusted to your travel dates.

Part 1: Sri Lanka Luxury Island Tour 6 Nights / 7 Days

This classic 7 Days / 6 Nights Sri Lanka Island Tour is a showcase of the "best of Sri Lanka".
Beginning with some of the major cultural sites you will proceed through the hill country, with its tea plantations and fantastic views, to the white beaches of the South-West Coast of Sri Lanka. This convenient airport to airport tour is ideal in combination with any of our Sri Lanka - Multi-Centre Holidays

Day 1 : Airport - Sigiriya
Your personal driver / guide will meet you at the airport or your hotel to start the picturesque trip to Sigiriya, visiting on the way the Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawela, which is a home to about 80 Elephants.
In the afternoon a tour of Sigiriya where you climb the amazing rock fortress of Sigiriya and enjoy the breath-taking views over the once magnificent palace, the walk ways and the gardens.

Day 2 : Dambulla - Kandy
After breakfast you will visit a Sri Lankan spice garden where you can learn about the basis of the Ayurveda natural medicine and also the Golden Temple in Dambulla, before proceeding to Kandy, the cultural 'hill capital' of Sri Lanka.

Day 3 : Kandy
This UNESCO World Heritage city is an essential stop on any tour of Sri Lanka. 
From many angles throughout the city a huge statue of a serene Buddha may be seen contemplatively peering over the treetops.
A visit to the Peradeniya Botanic Gardens is worthwhile. 
Lastly, no visit to Kandy is complete without a stop at the Temple of the Tooth Relic. A tooth purportedly belonging to Buddha is thought to be interred within the walls of this dagoba.

Day 4 : Nuwara Eliya
In the morning proceed to Nuwara Eliya, en-route visiting a tea plantation and a factory.
Nuwara Eliya also known as "Little England", is located in the heart of Sri Lanka's tea country producing 50% of the world's best tea.

Day 5 : Yala Nationa Park
A scenic drive through the mountains will bring you to the Yala National Park, where you can embark on a wildlife safari.
On the way a stop in Ella, Sri Lanka's highest village' to see the Ella Gap and Rawana Water Fall. Yala National Park is the second largest national park in Sri Lanka and has a huge range of wildlife including leopards, water buffalo and an abundance of birdlife

Day 6 : Bentota
Along the Sri Lanka's South Coast you will slowly proceed to Bentota, stopping to visit the blow hole in Dickwella, and the villages/towns of Weligama and Galle. Weligama is a fishing village famous for its distinctive stilt fishermen. Once a port, Galle was Sri Lanka’s first international commerce and trade centre, and these days the streets are still awash with exotic markets. The Dutch presence is still visible in Galle, especially at the the old Dutch fort (a UNESCO World Heritage site), the Dutch Government House, the former New Oriental Hotel and the old bell tower

Day 7 : Bentota
Leave for Hikkaduwa, a small beach resort with an excellent stretch of sandy beach and a bio diverse underwater world. After visiting some of Sri Lanka’s most adorable sea creatures at a turtle farm, your will be returning to Bentota.

Day 8 : Departure for the Maldives
Now it is time to start your Maldives part of this Sri Lanka - Maldives Multi-Centre Holiday.
Your driver will stay with you until you have checked in and are ready to board the flight from Colombo to Chennai.


Part 2: Maldives Luxury Extension 6 Nights / 7 Days

Maldives, where sands are white as the smiles of the locals, where fish swim happily in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean, where the weather is a dream, and the deep rays of the sun waits to engulf you in their arms.

The Maldives comprises of 26 natural atolls consisting of dual island chains. Incidentally the Maldivian language has the distinct pleasure of contributing to the English word “atoll”, which was derived from the Maldivian word “atholhu”.

The Maldives, located on top of a vast underwater mountain range have around 1190 islands and sandbanks. The pearl string like islands covers a land area of no less than 298 km2. All the islands are encircled by a lagoon blessed with crystal clear water. These islands are protected by a reef structure, housing one of the most exclusive and spectacular underwater life.

Day 8 Leave Sri Lanka for the Maldives
You are greeted on arrival at Male International Airport by one of our representatives and transfered by Sea Plane or Speed Boat to the Holiday Island of your choice.

Day 9 - 14 
Indulge and immerse yourself in a colourful journey of discovery, where shores lined with luxuriant banyans and lush palms yield to a majestic underwater world that will render you speechless. Enjoy unmatched services and facilities, including the Luxury SPA's and a fabulous selection of restaurants and bars . Relax and unwind on white, unspoiled beaches or with a vast selection of resort activities, including a fully equipped gymnasiums, tennis, and squash to scuba diving  and water skiing.
With unrestricted access to the immaculate beaches you should take the opportunity to explore Maldives in its entirety. There are many exciting excursions in the Maldives on offer, Island hopping is among the most preferred form of unravelling the mysteries that are the Maldives. Such excursions can be booked at your hotel / resort.

Snorkeling and scuba diving the reefs will open your eyes to the tiers of multi coloured corals and schools of small and mesmerizing coral fish. Such thrilling underwater excursions in the Maldives also give you the chance to view graceful stingrays that elegantly glide through the water and sleek sharks that prowl the seabed.

Day 14 Return to Male for your flight back to Sri Lanka.
